This field documents the sequence in which systemic therapy and surgical procedures were performed as part of the first course of treatment effective with cases diagnosed 1/1/06 and forward.
Use codes 2-9 for Systemic Therapy Sequence with Surgery if the first course of treatment includes codes for any of the following:
Surgery of the Primary Site
Scope of Regional Lymph Node Surgery
Surgery of Other Regional(s), Distant Site(s), or Distant Lymph Node(s)
Systemic therapy
Use code 0 for all other cases
