ICD-10-CM codes are only allowed in cases diagnosed in 2011 or 2012, or those cases coded under
the NAACCR v12.1 or 12.2 coding standards. Beginning with the NAACCR v13 coding standards,
only ICD-9-CM codes are allowed in Comorbidity/Complication fields. ICD-10-CM codes will be entered in the Secondary Diagnosis
fields for cases diagnosed in 2013 and later or coded under the NAACCR v13 coding standards and the code of 1
in this field will no longer be allowed.
