Specification:

This edit is skipped if any of the fields are blank.

If surgery of the primary site was performed (RX Summ--Surg Prim Site = 10-90), Reason for No Surgery must = 0 (surgery performed).

If surgery of the primary site was not performed (RX Summ--Surg Prim Site = 00 or 98, Reason for No Surgery must not = 0 (surgery performed).

If RX Summ--Surg Prim Site = 99 (unknown), Reason for No Surgery cannot be 0 (surgery performed).

Historical Changes:

This is the COC edit but it is similar to the SEER*Edits software, IF77.

2010 Data Item Changes:  CCR names (Date DX; Reason No Surg; Surg Prim Summ) to match NAACCR names. Specification Before 2010. Changed for improved clarity from metafile.

2/8/12 Changed name back to pre-2010 name to match metafile. Name should not have been changed in 2010.

2012 Data Changes: Changed our core edit to the COC edit rather than the similar SEER edit. It had been a customized Eureka edit going back to CANDIS. The SEER edit is not used because it does not allow a Reason No Surg 9 with Surg Sum Site 00 or 98.
